The Monster Toned Coin Game Thread

Nice toning for a Copper cent. I am not big on cents, so I honestly don’t know them well. I will go 4.6 based on the attractive rainbows.

I'll go a 5 on that Lincoln since 1955 is the year that this world had to start putting up with me.

I was getting ready to be in the 3s from the first slab shot, but seeing the close-up and then the reverse made me like this coin a lot more. It's a lovely coin overall and I'm at 4.4

 

I feel honored to receive grades as high as these. I had it at a 4.0 and I am humbled to see I was the lowest of the opinions. Thanks everybody.

I have a few more toned coins to post that will be interesting.

As a side. I paid $12 for this raw Lincoln back in 2015. It was then a part of a group of coins I submitted to ANACs and learned a lot from. It’s one of the coins in my box of 20 and will remain for a long time.

 

It is a truly beautiful coin. You should be happy with it.

I think you have next. I have another Morgan. This was a heartbreaker, as I missed it in an auction in Vegas by $200. My consolation prize was a dealer sold me an 1884cc MS 67 PL, that I have posted several times.

 

5.7, just misses monster. The cornucopia pattern is a tad distracting.

 

I like it. I'll give it a 6.

 

More to the story. The person who beat me to this coin by $200, lost it in a poker game at Bellagio, to a coin dealer.

 

I’m at 5.2. A little too blotchy for monster IMO.

Definitely a monster. 6.2. Once again, not the Moose, but a spectacular coin. I don’t regret not getting it in an auction, as “Scarface,” the previous Morgan I posted is more fun, and not that pricey.
