Hi. My name is Roberto and I practice metal detecting as a hobby. I find all kind of coins and relics everywhere I dig. I recently found a 1981 US Quarter with a pronounced bump on the reverse. Right over the chest of the eagle. Some of my buddies agreed that the bump is a PMD from a fire or exposure to the environment. However, while cleaning I noted that the reverse also has a 90 degrees rotation. I also see issues on the edge. So this is, in my view, a once in a lifetime find and am very excited about it. Would you please add any comments about my find?

Not sure if I have the right terminology. But the exposure to the environment caused a separation between the cladding.
This is more common when heat is applied to a clad coin.
