Based on your pics the luster looks to be unbroken meaning the coin is MS. But I see lots of hits and marks and rim dings on the obverse. I would say the coin would grade no higher than MS-63, maybe MS-62.
It looks MS-63 to me , and the fact it was your grandmothers makes it priceless , I like it .:thumb: rzage
If your bored maybe you could check my album for a few more Peace coins. The rest aren't that great, I'm just wondering if I should soak them in acetone?
Value The 1922 Pease dollars (PDS mints) are all fairly common. I would say your coin is worth roughly $18 to $20, maybe a tad more if it is MS condition.
Really? Not this one in this post but the ones in my album? They are kinda dirty and just buggin' my OCD hehe but if you say leave em' alone. So be it!
A soak in acetone won't remove the toning on coins , only dirt and gunk , if the dirt really bothers you a soak in acetone can't hurt . rzage
