I don't feel it was deserved. It is just a difference of opinion. As for the insult:

Lets quit "insulting" each other. The purpose of the forum is to educate any and all of us. We should ( even those still there) eliminate high school type of remarks. Billy Crawford's DVN publication is a senior study type of education, and the more we learn of these oddities, the better we will understand the minting process. This is especially important in the single squeeze era. If it isn't your thing and you just want to collect MS-70 ASE, that is fine, just pass on by. So many of the questions I see about Doubled dies and RPMs can be found in Billy's collection" A detailed analysis of Lincoln cents varieties". My copy is in tatters, I use it so much. I don't collect many of the very minor varieties, but I have contributed to the DVN as have many others on the forum, and a new edition is looked forward to being read.

Billy , please keep posting the links to the new issues.

Thanks for sharing, Die. And as for the others who think this is'nt "significant" enough, there is major doubling clearly visible in multiple places. But most easily defined by the split serifs in the letter "Y" and the bubble like doubling in "B",

Do they have an estimated value on this yet??

Billy, please do not let a very few people who are not variety and error collectors per se discourage you from keeping the rest of us informed. I had heard of the 2011 DDO, but have been on vacation and not keeping up with my searching and research. I want to thank you for your sharing of expertise and information with us. The thrill of finding modern "treasures" in circulated coins still holds a great attraction for a good number of people, myself included. PLEASE continue to share on this forum with the rest of us. It is greatly appreciated.

To those of you who do not appreciate some of the errors, varieties, transitions, etc. You of course are respected and encouraged to collect what ever it is that you will. Be it coins, matchbooks, shot glasses, stamps, baseball cards or whatever. I don't care. If you are not interested in the errors, why bother to post at all ?

As a relative newbie here I say thank you Die Variety News for posting any information concerning our hobby. No matter what you call them, errors or varieties, it's all part of the education. I like the shopping cart method. If it's something your interested in check it out. If it's not you cup of tea pass it up - easy. Just my opinion

I have found what think or actually see is a 2011 P Lincoln cent with doubling on obverse and reverse the shield error doubling . It's really baffling me because there is not a listing that it found that recognizes Ddo/Ddr for 2011 . Another thing is die markers seem to be on my coin , matching obverse denver, which has a ddo listing and a phili. For for the shield error . I'm Gona try to post pics but I'm on a fire tablet ,not good camera

Hi Andrew welcom to CoinTalk. This is a very old thread. Many of the members on this thread from 2011 are no longer on CoinTalk. It is best that you start you own separate unique thread with pictures.

Sounds like you have fond a Cent with Die Deterioration doubling. That is considered worthless doubling. It has nothing to do with a true Doubled Die Variety.
