In my area all companies are ignoring signature requirements due to covid. How are other sellers addressing this issue. Papal requires signature confirmation I believe over $750. I could foresee lots of issues with buyers claiming non receipt, then PayPal asks for proof of signature??? Has this been an issue? Thanks Cass
I’m asking for my nephew. I no longer sell on EBay.

I believe it's like that in most places. Most of the time USPS just signs it themselves and leaves it at the door or in a mailbox. I haven't heard any reports yet of what happens if the buyer complains or claims non receipt.

I had a small purchase of about $40.00 get lost on USPS during the summer. A CT member that works for the USPS found it for me. I wasn't overly concerned as it was a small purchase but it was lost for five weeks. I do have a $240.00 Ebay coin purchase en route right now. That's a long ways from $750.00 but I'll let report here if it arrives... Or doesn't!

I'm not sure how this might affect the question you are asking about, but when a seller said I received something I did not, I went to the manager of my local Post Office and they not only provided me with photo of the object with the tracking number, but also the GPS of the delivery. PayPal not being my favorite, I would think they would have a hard time disputing that information.

The Post Office is using GPS tracking and dating that the package is delivered. Recently, I bought one coin that was $600. They signed for it, and I got an email with a copy of my signature by delivery person. Since I live in a gated community, theft is not a significant problem.

Always follow PayPal requirements for seller protection to the letter. Period.

That’s what I’m asking about. To the letter. GPS and a photo of Delivery on the porch is not signature confirmation.
I know Amazon takes photos of delivery which is good as one of my deliveries showed it wasn’t my house my package was delivered to.
I learned a long time ago about the GPS tracking when a Cherry Pick which I was anxiously awaiting showed delivered. I went to the porch and nothing. After I finally got the man behind the blue door to come out, he ran the GPS, and they went to go recover my package which I received a few days later. But my mail man doesn’t take any photos on delivery and regardless that doesn’t meet PayPal requirements for a signature.
