Here is an auction site that some may find interesting also http://www.seizedpropertyauctions.com/events.htm
We tried them. The only catch is that you can't see the actual dollar amounts on the items until you pay the entry fee for the auction. All the auctions start at a dollar and say one dollar until you pay the entry fee, then suddenly they are all in the hundreds or thousands. I was a little skeptical when I saw a non key date buffalo nickel there selling for $3500.00 and it was only good grade if that.
This site is advertised in a manner to make people think they are getting super bargains at "police auction" type sales. They attract a lot of bidders who have no idea of the value of what they are bidding on, and get infected with auction fever. I bid on a few items in a couple of their auctions, and they went for 5-20 times their true value, usually in frenzied bidding at the end. As a coin source I highly recommend against even using that 20-foot pole you keep for stuff you wouldn't touch with a ten-footer.
