Cameo and Deep Cameo refer to the amount of frost and contrast between the raised devices on a coin and the fields of the coin. The greater the contrast the deeper the cameo effect.

    Another Question

Is that what they mean by "Black and White"? I have a 1968 Kennedy Proof set, and when I look at it straight, the flat areas look darker, and President Kennedy looks white, along with all the lettering and date.
    Thanks,
    David

Yes. The fields should look almost black if they are held right.
