Greetings. Over 20 years ago my mother gave me a 5 ruble 1902 gold coin from Russia. I wonder what would be a reasonable price for it. The coin is in great condition. (Do you say mint condition?). I don't have the lingo, so let me just say that it's shiny and sharp (not worn out at all.) I don't have a photo, but the URL below shows a picture (larger than life) of the same kind of coin. Looking at the picture, my coin looks better--cleaner and sharper. http://128.192.145.172/opp/1902ru5rg.jpg Thank you for your help!
Howdy Nick - Welcome to the Forum !! Typically the coins sell for a bit more than bullion value as they are quite common, even in higher grades. At today's prices, that's about $115 - $120.
Unfortunately you MUST post a photo of what you have there. The minimum these days for a 1902 ruble like what GDJMSP said is about 120USD but more along the lines of 150USD due to strong demand. At higher grades, they command a better price. Welcome to cointalk by the way.
