This thread will be for a Standing Liberty Quarter One per date NGC registry set. If you would like to participate, please send me a photo of your coin (obverse & reverse) with a minimum size of 500x500 pixels. I will then add the photo to the collection photo (see below) and give credit to the owner in the text below the collection photo. New additions to the collection must either be a date that is not complete or a coin that is of equal or better quality of a coin that is already in the collection. For equally graded coins, I will create a new thread asking the CT members to vote which coin gets the slot. Higher graded examples will automatically make it into the set replacing the lower graded coin. Since there are 16 photo spaces and only 15 coins, I will include a 1st runner up spot for the best coin not to make it into the set. Only PCGS and NGC slabbed coins will be accepted in the set. I have added only one coin from my collection which is a 1924 NGC MS67. Please PM with the photos of your submission into the set. No, this is not a real registry set, just a fun one that I will keep track of based upon current registry standings. All I need is a photo of the obverse and reverse that is big enough so that when I crop the images they are 500x500 pixels. Please PM your photos so I can add your coin to the set.
Lehigh, can you post a picture of the obverse of the 24, I think you have before, but I would like to see that purple toning again!
edited grade above -- I really need to take new pics of it. It's been in a Dansco for a few years now, and starting to edge tone.
Paul - a question for you. Becuase I don't think a lot of folks understand what you are doing here. Are you actually entering these as a set in the Registry - or - is just a make belive set ? Since you are updating rank, I assume you are actually entering this set. And for those who didn't understand - that means the coins submitted to Paul in these threads need to currently be in a slab by NGC or PCGS.
