I needed a quick way of taking pictures of my collections , I own a panasonic PV-GS120. I set it up on a tripod went into menu screen and activated web cam option. plugged it in to the computer and configured it as a video feed and on the screen (computer) it has a option to take a still picture from the live video feed.

The only trouble I had is finding where it sent the pics to:headbang:. I did find it they are buried under a pile of folders :smile, so don't try looking for them in the camera even though it has the option to delete all pictures from camera they are not in the camera.

Here is where I found mine on 2 different computers I use:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\WIA\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\0000

this area with the big numbers string may vary

you may not find "application data" file it has the attributes set for "hidden" or setting for hidden folders turned off. I hope this help a few
people out , it really made it easier for me , instead of taking the chip going to walgreens putting it on a disk taking it home uploading ,editing, saving, and burning back to disk for record keeping in case a virus hits my computers again.:smile

Not sure what your doing but When I connect a camera to my computer I direct where the info goes. On my main computer I have 2 hard drives and one is for storage. It is for stuff like photos. I just make a folder called photos, movies, etc. Then make sub folders of the dates and then download whatever I want to where ever I want it to go.

this was for the people who have a digital video camera and can't afford a new camers (still photos ) or they own a web cam this is where you will find the photo storage it is a default place windows uses and can't be changed, but cut and paste anywhere after you are done. sorry I should have been a little more informative

    Cool information.:thumb:
I'm sure there is a way to change the default.

That's Wack. How many folks don't have a digital camera these days? If I still shot film, I'd be broke.

What I don't have is a video camera but I don't really need one either.
