We tried the Peace Dollar registry set with very little success. This thread will be for a Jefferson War Nickel NGC registry set. If you would like to participate, please send me a photo of your coin (obverse & reverse) with a minimum size of 500x500 pixels. I will then add the photo to the collection photo (see below) and give credit to the owner in the text below the collection photo. New additions to the collection must either be a date/mint that is not complete or a coin that is of equal or better quality of a coin that is already in the collection. For equally graded coins, I will create a new thread asking the CT members to vote which coin gets the slot. Higher graded examples will automatically make it into the set replacing the lower graded coin. Only PCGS and NGC slabbed coins will be accepted in the set. I have added only one coin from my collection which is a 1945-P NGC MS67 Star. Please PM with the photos of your submission into the set. I will add your coin to the set and update the registry information accordingly.
We have our first addition to our War Nickel registry set. Thanks Bobby for submitting a nice 1945-D. We moved up one spot.
I have them all in 66FS except the 43/2 which I'll have to look up. Many of them are not imaged yet so I'll wait to see if you need some after others have submitted. Then I'll image them.
I rarely do slabbed coins, and I have exactly two slabbed war nickels. A PCGS f-12 1943/2 and a NGC MS-65 1942 S, which isn't a very high grade considering.
Okay, my 1943/2-P is a PCGS MS-65. I've got to redo the images because of size (not quite 500x500) and quality (too much reflection). I noticed that I can't click on your images and get larger views. Was that intentional?
My dad has a nice one that I will send you pic's off....The pic's might be alittle small but it is the best I can do... Speedy
