I dunno I've bought so many "off the wall" things over the years I figured I'd share this one.

Was looking for a roll of half dollars and knew they were buried deep in the safe. We needed a roll at work and thought I might have them. I didn't but found this in my search.

I remember buying it and still have the receipt. I'd buy odd things like this only for the gold. I did the math it has .04375 of an ounce of gold. I paid $14 for it. It's a bit larger than a dime and .5000 fine gold.

How things have changed haven't they? Pretty cool little trinket as well.

Boy, you got a good deal!

If it really has .04375 oz of pure gold, you only paid $320 an ounce!!!

    Nice medal, too.

I did get it at $320 an ounce.... when gold was $320 an ounce.

I really just posted it because it does look cool, it does contain gold and was purchased at spot.
Franklin Mint puts out some nice stuff but in the long run it's worth what the metal is worth. This piece is worth more than $14 now.
