here is another one from the same seller http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280306289849
I do a ton of photo editing, This blurred area is where someone has tried to hide something with the blur function in photoshop... everything else in the picture is nice and clear...except where the coin has a luster break... which is visible in other pics
Ok, thanks for pointing that out. But.... that blurred spot is not on the sellers other pictures, in the same spot atleast. The other pictures that show that spot, nice and clear, I dont see anything that the seller would try to hide.
On this next pic there is a clear luster break... that would be something to hide on a supposed ms64 piece.... it just stinks like ripoff
If you look at the other pictures that show the same spot and don't looked touched up, they were taken from a different angle. I now from previous experience with Morgans at least, that it is very hard to show(or easy to hide in this case) all the details from the wrong (or right in this case) angle.
You know, I see threads like this quite often, and probably three quarters of the time the OP is just mistaking JPG compression for blurring. However, Matt is 100% correct here, IMO, and the seller is using a blur tool (or something similar) to hide problems. Respectfully...Mike
I agree... the coin looks like junk anyways... but it has nothing to do with who the coin is supposedly graded by or the true condition of the coin...Graded or not It has to do with a nefarious seller trying to dupe people... At the coin shop I hear horror stories all of the time from newbie collectors about some crook on EBay taking it to the new guy... It is frustrating to me to see things like this going on... and it should frustrate everyone who gives a hoot about this hobby... Im not trying to get up on some soap box here. I just see this as being detrimental to the hobby and want to point out how low some people can be. Just like your sig says frank, buy the book before the coin. I just don't see books on this kind of stuff.
I'm glad I'm over the ebay craze. This trickery is all too common among sellers. You cannot even trust feedback anymore; most buyers on ebay are naive enough to post positive feedback before examining their purchase.
