Great Britain Mint BU encapsulated coin error!

I purchased this coin a few weeks ago, and wanted it because it is the first mint year for the 2 pounds. When it came I noticed the Queen is scratched under the chin and all the way to the edge of the coin. Does any one know what this error would be called and what its value might be? I have all the original packaging and the encapsulation hasn't been tampered with.

Are you sure it is the coin which is scratched and not the capsule??? Suggest it is probably the capsule. Best wishes, Mike.

 

Yes, You are right, it turned out to be the inside of the plastic upon closer inspection. ;-)
