Here it is...and it's hard to see, but it has full liberty. Also, the spots on the left, and line on the reverse are on the holder.

    Let me know, thanks.

If the ribbon and the curl are merged ( same level) you are looking at a VF30. If the ribbon is still separated ( higher level) then EF40. It is hard to
tell from the photo, but at least a VF30 IMO.

If you go to Rick Snow's site
    http://www.indiancent.com/
and click on "grading", you get a .pdf file which is the very best guide to grading IHC.
And he is now a member of our forum:hail:

Thanks! I looked at the site and it looks very helpful, a great guide. So, could my coin be a choice VF-30?

I'd say VF-20 , as Liberty is barely visable , most of the hair details are gone it might even be a F-15 . Hope it's just the pictures .

Yeah, it is the picture. I can see the fine details of the feathers in the hair, and the liberty just sticks out. It looks completely different (in a good way) in hand.

I don't know what you are missing. I see the LIBERTY clearly and it looks as good as or better that Rick Snow's example of a VF-30.

    Rusty,
I have a hard time with ANA's guide on IHC grading. It seems very hazy compared to the criteria that Snow uses in his grading guide. Thanks for the reminder for me to pick up my new glasses :kewl: Experience is great! getting old to get it is

Nice coin and I would think it is at least a VF. VF Greysheet (Wholesale) Bid @ $2.35 and Numismatic News (Retail) @ VF20 $3.50, XF @ $9.00.

Keep in mind, within reason the value is mainly in the eye of the beholder.

I don't really care about value. The indian head just looks good, and I like it.

Certainly a keeper - nice problem free, nice color IHC. I like it. The only reason I graded it VF20 was I could not see the separation of the hair and ribbon clearly enough. Sometimes liberty has a weak strike and hard to tell about it.
