Some ebay pickups

    Well, I certainly know it looks like that in the picture.

    I've come across quite a few harshly cleaned coins and it isn't nearly as bright, nor does it look obviously cleaned in hand. It still is too bright though.

    I mean, if its just been aggressively dipped, is that better?

    Dipping a coin does not create scratches in the metal. The only way you can get scratches like that is from harsh cleaning.

    Or, of course, being slid across a surface.

    Yeah, if it was done 50 times on each side.

    Lol.

    You're right, I haven't seen this many on a coin before, but I've seen coins with quite a high number of them.
