I was playing around with photoshop and came up with a neat idea. What would my coins look like if they were mules. Then I decided to create a mule to see what it would look like. This one is a purple peripheral toned Morgan Dollar muled with a purple peripheral toned Peace Dollar.

What do you guys think? Would this be a cool looking coin or what. If you want to play, feel free to post your cool mules.

    Lehigh,

You need to take a break. Please put the mouse down and step away from your computer. :kewl::hug::goofer:

Seriously, you bring up an interesting question. What obverse and reverse design combinations would make a more attractive coin than those that were actually used? Hmmmm. That could make for some interesting answers.

Anyone who doesn't want to actually create the mule in photoshop, just tell me what obverse and reverse you want and I will create it for you. Taking a week off from poker is driving me insane!

Would you be willing to create the following? Obverse of a Barber half, and reverse of the small eagle halfs. Thank you. This should be interesting.

Howabout something a little more challenging than a mule?

You know how US coins are, in some senses, descendants of ancient coins? Make an image that melts from the ancient design into the modern, US one.

I think I can accomodate that request.

The Barber Half obverse is from a gorgeously toned 1892 PCGS MS67 that just sold for over $17,000 (2.5X bid) and the reverse is from a 1796 15 stars Draped Bust Small Eagle Half NGC MS63 which sold for $374,000 in last years Long Beach Sale. How about that for a mule!
