    With nothing to work with we cannot answer your question.
    Can you give us a little more info to work with, please? Photos would help.

    Is the coin so worn that the date is missing or was it struck without a date? Is it damaged (causing the date to disappear)?

    Undated Morgan

    :confused: As an undated and nonphotod coin it would be my only guess. Almost sure I am wrong but it is a guess. :)

    Mintage of Morgan Dollars began in 1878. If a Morgan Dollar is dated 1876 it is most likely a Chinese counterfeit.
