Is anyone planning on attending the Suburban Detroit Coin Show this week? It runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (never on Sunday, but some people get confused and show up anyway, I'm sure!) It's at the Radisson Inn in the parking lot next to the Laurel Park Place Mall, just off I-275 at 6 Mile Rd. If you haven't been before, it's a great show. It's one of the larger ones around, with about 80 dealers. I'd say it's probably the second-largest show in the Detroit Metro area. Hope to see you there!
I'm going to be there. I'm not sure if I'll make it Thursday or Friday (it'd be after work if I do) but I plan to hit it Saturday if I haven't previously. Their hours aren't the most convenient for a working guy. The show can be very nice. There isn't often nice copper, but just about everything else can be had - though that goes for most Michigan shows.
Cool. I know I saw you there last year. I don't know when I'll be there either. I'm a working guy too, but I have a little more leeway than average. I'm gonna try to skip out early Thursday to get there before everything is picked over. I can never see the whole show in one day, so I plan to be there Friday or Saturday also.
I'll be swinging by probably on Sat. I'm having lunch Tuesday with Chuck who is putting the show on. Will mention to him that he is getting some press here on CT..
Jim, That's great! I know Chuck. He's a great guy. I saw him briefly at today's Redford VFW show (plug: Last Sunday of every month, 10a-4p, Schoolcraft Rd & Inkster.) He really is a nice guy, and puts on a great show! Do you live in the area? Do you belong to a club?
Borg, yes I live in the area, not far from Chuck actually. We are getting a coin club together out near Milford.
Hey, man...glad to hear you can make the show. I'll try to get there on Friday. Gotta see all your newps!
