I picked up a couple of these on the very cheap and was wondering 1) what they are and the pick # and 2) are they real notes:

    1920 Austria 20 Heller Notgeld??:

And a possible 1920 Austria 30 Heller Notgeld:

Any help on these two notes for identification is greatly appreciated.

welcome to the wonderfull (and cursing) world of notegeld :D

wonderfull because as you can see, they had some awsome vingettes on them, and cursing... well, because its a nightmare trying to identify as there are over a half million DIFFERENT designs/denominations/cities/states/ect....

also, notegeld are not listed by pick .. too many.... and the pick usually only shows official currency, where notgeld was not issued by the govermment, more like local towns and businesses - and defrauders :)

oh, one more thig... the book i use for notgeld is "A guide & checklist world notgeld 1914-1947 and other local issue emergance money 2nd edition"
here is a link to it.

its a great book, but unless you can actually read whats written on the note... well, it can be a challenge identifying it :D
