Just Purchased a 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent

Here is a couple of photos of the 1909 VDB that I just purchased from a local coin shop today.

Nice coin! It is a little hard to pick anything out with that pattern on the coin, but I will guess 64 RB.

 

Looks pretty nice to me. If you don't mind my asking, what'd you pay for it?

 

Gotta love a VDB in Mint State.

Hard to grade with such small pictures, but they're big enough for me to tell it's a very nice coin.

OK, I'll try this again and see if I can get a larger photo for you all.

 

I'm going to say AU-55. I could be off, but I do believe I see wear on the cheek, ear, hair, and jacket. It is a nice coin IMHO. :thumb:

I change my grade to AU 53 based on the larger photos. Still a nice coin.

 

I think that "wear" on the cheek is just a hotspot from the lighting and I am going to say MS-62, a beautiful piece to be sure. I love it, you can never have enough of them, I buy one every time I see one, I think I have about 9 or 10 of them now. Great find man.

 

I recently started upgrading my Lincoln Wheat Cents to MS. Now I have to figure out what to do with the duplicates. Circulated wheat cents aren't exactly a hot item right now.
