Well, i made a few cheap purchases on Ebay yesterday. Decided to share! Numero Uno Numero Doce Numero Trece Numbero Quatro And no, I don't speak Spanish, sorry if I butcher any words!
Three of them look fine to me, but one worries me. The '42-P nickels looks like it was cleaned. See the lines running almost horizontally across the reverve. Since they are not only in the fields but also go across the devices, that suggests cleaning to me. If it were the fields only then it wouldn't bother me (die polishing). The '44 WL should get an acetone bath just in case the fingerprint is still active. Soak for a couple minutes. No rubbing. Rinse in distilled water several times. Pat dry with a cotton towel. This won't remove the fingerprint, but it will remove the organic acids that caused it so that it won't continue working. Then you'll be okay.
ebat stay away from uscoinstore and joeyrickygarza. I bought coins from both of them and either never got them or they were not as described.
