Hi all, Just wanted to share this story for anyone who sells coins on Ebay. I had gotten an early order in for the UHR Double Eagle, with the sole intention of selling it (then buying one for myself later in the year). I posted a screenshot of the confirmation page with my address, phone number, and email address blocked out, but left the order number and last name. As I found out, those are the only two items needed to not only track, but also to CANCEL an order through the mint. So some evil person decided to cancel my order. The rate they were going, I was looking at $500 profit (which would have made my later purchase for keeps much more palatable to spend). Anyhow, while I was shocked there are people that evil browsing coins on Ebay to cause harm to another without even any gain for themselves, I was more impressed by the many collectors who sent me messages (overnight, while I was away from my computer), warning me about making order numbers available for others to view. So if any of those warners see this, thank you again for your messages.
The "bad guys" on eBay probably amount to less than 0.1%. But considering the number of people active on eBay in one way or another, 0.1% is quite a few. 0.1% of 1,000,000 is 1,000. Thanks for what I consider an important heads up.
