    I have a pair of coins issued during British Rule in India.
    Pls see attachment.

    Would like to hear your feedback on this.

    Are you sure that the Victoria obverse is dated 1936 LOL another point is they should be silver and I think the 1936 was only issued in proof? So unless I am missing something here I would have to say that they are either forgery's or reproductions

    both crude reproductions/forgery not worth anything more than melt

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Info on the net also says that One Rupee issued during this period were in Silver.....

    Meanwhile pls give feedback on this one...... (see attachment)..

    with indian coins the metals dont mean anything one ruppe coins were issued in silver and quart alloy and nickel but there were also restrikes in gold copper etc so one can never say but the die charecterisitics give the coins away. this last coin could be genuine very difficult to say unless one looks at it in hand. i would measure and weigh it and then compare also u need to get rid of the verdigris before it gets rid of the coin.

    well there is no need to clean the coins unless if the coins willl degrade if left alone. cleaning if improperly done actually diminishes the value of the coins

    The last coin is a genuine 4 pice coin of the East India company, from 1794. However, it's unlikely to be worth anything in that condition, as it is fairly common.

    probably authenticity/grade and price.. :)

    my guess would be that it looks to be authentic

    were they made during that period......

    It's a fakes (both one-rupee coins).
