I bought a Great Britian 1884 Farthing in AU50 condition last night graded by a TPG called "National Numismatic Certification". I was wondering what you would grade it and what the value of the coin would be. BTW I am new to world coins.
I don't know about that coin, but I know about the NNC coin I got. Cleaned and overgraded 3C silver. Hope they are better with world coins.
Bummer. Hopefully this one is not. I only paid $4.32 including shipping so I couldn't have done to bad.
I've never heard of the company, but on my phone screen( almost better than my old computer screen) it looks XF40. Post new pics when you get it in the mail, it'll be nice to see how close this company really is.
Garret I have a Indian 1/2 Rupee graded MS-65 that I would gade 62 or 63 , there's a lot of Indian coins in them on Ebay , not the most reliable tpg out there but better than SGS . What would you grade the coin , from the small pics it looks nice , and for the money it's a kool coin . rzage
As long as they are better than SGS hya: I am not good with world coins so as an educated GUESS I would say XF45? I would love to know the value of it though.
I have one in xf that looks just like yours. Krause says $13 in xf and $40 in Unc. Nice deal on your part Olmanjon
If that is all you paid for it then you have not done too badly, the condition of the farthing is a bit hard to see clearly though :thumb:
