My dad has gotten me interested in collecting coins and I am loving every minute of it. He deals with Littleton mostly and doesn't use the internet very much just catalogs. I have been looking at ebay for some more options and am interested in starting the Presidential collection. I wondered if anyone has used/purchased coins from Redz Coins? I have done alot of reading and self educating on purchasing and collecting both. Just wanted a second opinion on this Seller or any other ideas for someone like me that doesn't have alot of money but has alot of time to invest in penny, nickel or presidential collecting. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270328728286
I have not heard of them, let alone purchased from them. Do you have a URL for their website? Welcome to CoinTalk!
Welcome to the forum! I don't collect in that area, so have never ran into him before. However, the only deficiency that would prevent me from bidding is that the return policy is for exchange rather than money back. But otherwise, high feedback%, free shipping. Jim
Check out www.toolhaus.org - it will show negs and neutrals without having to wade through all the feedback.
Welcome to the forum. I would skip his auctions - from looking at toolhaus I see a lot of lost shipments and late shipments. Of course I always buy insurance, but for some reason he seems to have a lot of lost shipments. Just my opinion.
Not slamming them but Littleton is a bit overpriced on some items. Your dad could probabally do better elsewhere.
If you are just starting out, I don't know if Littleton or Ebay are good places for you to buy. One is overpriced and the other is a shark tank. Buy a Redbook and use the search function at Cointalk to find some reputable internet dealers.
I agree with Harryj and cloudsweeper. Littleton is overpriced, and ebay is not a good place for someone whos just starting out.
Not sure if you'ld fine out a lot but you might want to do a search on this forum for Littleton. Print out what you see and give it to your Dad. Same with other coin forums.
