Where in the heck to you get your hands on thin, cotton gloves to handle coins with? I have search all the local fabric, hobby, mart-like places and can't find any. I'm open to suggestions here...
I have seen them online from companies that sell supplies. http://www.jpscorner.com/ left column 3\4 way down under "things you need". or google it.
Thanks! I thought that they'd be easy to find and was sorely disappointed with that little expectation.
Photo labs use them and you can sometimes talk them into selling or giving you some. A friend of mine bought 5 boxes that contained (25) 1 doz. pkgs of cotton gloves per box at an auction for $5 a box. I asked her if I could buy them from her but she had already sold them. Luckily, she knew I was into coins so she kept 2 pkgs. and gave them to me. Wow, just missed a bargain there!!
When I was in marching band in senior high, we had to wear white cotton gloves with our uniforms. Although the band provided them (you might check with the local high school), inevitably some sophomores (we were only grades 10-12) would buy their own. They ended up buying them either at military surplus stores or in the local PX. You might be able to do the same thing.
