I doubt I paid too much, I mean, for 15$ it's hard to go wrong.

But I don't card, I love Red Toning (and blue and purple for that matter).

    here it is: klicken

    :)

I'll post pictures when I get it in hand, although I'm not sure it looks that different.

Nice find. That is very unusual toning. I can't say I've ever seen a Roosevelt toned that way.

Nice PF 66 coin. How does one silver coin tone only red? Is that the stage before black?

I've got a 45 micro S dime that has speckle toning in black that looks similar to your coin.
    For the price you scored.

    That is really neat toning.

At the risk of being the sole voice of dissent, IMO, that toning looks severely ugly. But to each their own I suppose.

I do not think you can be too wrong at those prices. If I am seeing everything right, that is a good price for a normal PF66. I am curious what Lehigh has to say about it.

This coin has a retail price of $10 so I would say that $15 including S&H is fine. You should be careful though, if you are starting to collect mottled toned coins, that is a clear indication that you are becoming a toning freak. Personally, the Roosevelt Dime is one of the few designs that really makes mottled toning look good. Russet toning is not too uncommon, but usually you only find little splashes. This coin is covered in pretty russet toning in a most unusual fashion. This is what toning is all about. Anyone can find a blast white 1961 proof Roosevelt. How many people will find a coin that looks like yours? You now have a common coin that is one of a kind. Congrats!

    Thanks lehigh :)

I can't say I'm becoming a toning freak, as the only toning I'll buy is Red (russet), blue, and purple.
I like it when the coin is only 1 or two colors (and full of it) :D

then again, if I found a red/blue/purple coin I'd probably buy that too ;)

You did good Mag, remember , your detractor hates plastic AND toning, so consider the source. Great guy, but just not for him.

You did well:thumb: Bring it to the next show, I'd like to see it in hand.

I don't know much about toning but it looks to me , a child colored it with a red color. JUSY MY OPINION. Cheryl

    Good luck
