First War Nickel

Well, clearly on this coin, while you can see the portico and windows details, and the obverse is nice, the stairs themselves seem to be just a blob of metal. I have to think the die didn't have the stairs.

Most Jefferson nickel collectors don't realize just how important sharp strike detailed coins are to this series. Do you realize just how many collectors pass by a brilliantly struck coin simply because it doesn't have full steps? Oh how I still enjoy searching through bu rolls even though they might have been searched through several times.
