Help! Indian peace medal

    Here is one that I got today. This medal is the real deal but I have no idea of value. I have seen prices on the internet but I am still not sure of true value. There is a small rim hit and I am sure this one has been cleaned long ago.

    1853 President Franklin Pierce Indian Peace Medal in copper

    It looks like the reproduction peices that are sold on eBay.
    It doesn't look like the genuine medals that are sold on other sites.

    How can you be sure that it is "the real deal"?

    Well, it is definetely not new. It has circulated and it looks to me like the older ones that have been sold on heritage.
