Does anyone have any idea what a fair price for a 1986 PCGS MS67RD Lincoln Cent is. For some reason the prices on Ebay seem to surpass what PCGS lists as its approximate value. This coin is gorgeous. I have a 1986-D PCGS MS67RD and it is a dog compared to the 1986-P. Either I have an upgrade candidate or the grader was being kind to the 1986-D. I know the the MS68RD is going for over $700 on Ebay. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is THIS the $700+ lincoln you are refering too? If so, I wouldn't use it as a benchmark for the value of your, or any coin.
Sorry, don't see a link. I did a completed listings search(Ebay) & saw one sold for $780 I think. The seller also has another one up there for the same price. None have graded higher - but still !! Thats alot of money. A 67 like mine went for $200 a couple weeks ago. Seems VERY high to me. I contacted the losing bidder & he said he was in a grudge match with the winner. He thought it was a $100 coin though. Even that seems like alot, but I would be very happy if that is what they are going for ! I will find out soon I guess. Will probably list it this weekend. As I said in another thread - Ebay is tought to figure out sometimes. Thanks for the reply.
Click on the word "THIS". When you see an underlined word or phrase in blue, it is usually a link. What I don't see in the auction listing is a picture. Talk about buying "sight unseen".
I noticed that too. I was going to check the serial #'s on the slabs to see if it might be the same coin - possibly returned by the original buyer. No picture always gets you wondering.
