Are safe deposite box's hard to find where your at?

    Also Do they cost alot?

I can find them, but only small ones. The larger ones are gone and there's waiting list. Also even for small box's they cost a arm and a leg, I think.

Mine cost me about 35 a year and its for a 8x3x20. I had a large one, once, but the bank closed and I had to find a new bank and have multiple boxes now.

Hey you can't put a price tag on keeping your collection safe.
Just keep calling banks and befriend one of the bankers. :thumb:

Yes they can be a hassle to find in some areas, then some banks have the kind that are really not very secure in my opinion since they are not actually in their vaults.

I can say for one of my banks, they do have them in the vault, and they have several boxes available - I keep getting an additional one every year or so and filling it up.

Yeah I pay $33 buck a year for each of my two boxes and have the lady there who know me keep me in mind when a real big one comes up. She said it is rare as they are usually passed on from family member to family member. Keep looking around for a larger one.

    No.

    No.

If your coins have any value, you should have a safe deposit box even if you have a home safe. I put all the valuable ones in the bank.

It's pretty common that the big one's a full and hard to get. I worked at a bank for a year and we never had a big box available...people get them and hang onto them. The bank I worked for...had boxes that ranged from $25 to $125 per year depending on the size. I personally don't use one for my coins. I have a safe at home where I store my collection. My personal belief is I collect because I love to do it...and there is no point in having the coins somewhere that I can't see them as I please. That's just me though.

If I had a coin or two that where extremely valuible...I would probably consider it. But, a number of things would factor in (where I live, neighbors, ect).
