Is this half dollar cleaned?

I don’t think so but I want the opinions of the pros aka you guys thanks.

I think all old coins have been cleaned, but some are just done more than others....

 

then have i got something to show you... I just procured an original 1937 Arkansas commemorative PDS set in its original packaging form stacks. Purchased new and shoved in a safe, I am its second owner. I can assure you they are not cleaned

I agree that has been cleaned. The hairlines that run horizontally across the coin give it away.

 

Probably several times at least

This coin has been cleaned probably several times at least - there are only 2 grades of Barber Half's, worn out and cleaned or expensive.
I mean who see original Barber half's or quarters in the grades of VF-30 every day - I sure don't. Not in this part of the of the world.
