I don’t believe you have a proof. The images don’t Matxh up with known images and my own eye

That’s always a good indication that it’s PORBABLY NOT.

Occam’s razor - the simplest explanation is likely the correct one.

is it more likely that you happen to have a RARE, uncertified matte proof, or, do you have a well-struck regular strike?

It should be common sense. Anything that requires a lottery-winner odds are, with few exceptions, pretty much impossible to win

I guess the tipping point was that the hair, lettering, cheek, feathers are all the same matte silver color

I guess I will be the bearer of bad news. There is nothing about that peace dollar that says it is even Matte finish let alone a proof.
The coin has been previously dipped to remove what looks like terminal toning.
@James R not every coin you see is a rarity. Take some time to enjoy the hobby, read up and retain as much knowledge as you can. These type of coins don't just fall into someone's lap. They are cherrypicked (by Luck) or you pay up for them because someone else has already picked them.
    Good luck in your hunt.

The coin has been dipped to remove poor toning. It's not a proof of any kind, just a standard business strike that's only worth junk value.
