This is pretty strange and I’ve never seen anything like it. The obverse almost looks like a hand, or a flower, but it could be anything.

the reverse looks like a coat of arms or a crest but could be anything either

I have no clue as to what your coin is. However, the coat of arms appears vaguely reminiscent of the contemporary Ukrainian coat of arms.

Edit: However, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Greek AE of some sort.

The reverse is a trident, upside-down - often on Syracuse coins.

I can't make much of the obverse.

Interesting! Thanks. The obverse reminds me of those hand of God coins, somewhat..

Here's the coin with the obverse in the proper orientation (although the trident reverse is 180 out).

Interesting! Sort of looks like a horse or Pegasus left??

...Thanks, @hotwheelsearl, for pointing that out. ...Maybe, back to @akeady's observation, a Pegasus? Impressionistically in keeping with something from Syracuse.

Thanks everyone! I had no idea it was a Pegasus but now that’s it’s oriented corrected, it does look rather clear.

the condition seems pretty good compared to online examples - the sharpness on the trident is pretty good compared to the weakness on the Pegasus
