The bank has 2 more bags waiting on me today. I roll them for the branch. I take what I want and deposit the rest back. The branch rarely has costs associated with dealing with the fed. I do all bags in the machine. It is a win for both.
Since I look at each, I count as I go into stacks of ten. By hand. I have a coin counting machine I use on cents and dimes(I rarely search), nickels and quarters by hand.
Wow! I'm retired, but I would take a job like that! You can also double-check your counts by weight, which I do when repackaging after roll-hunting.
I do my banking at a credit union. All I have ever seen is that they bag when it is full. I asked if there was anyway I could go through the bags. They told me no. I guess some people are luckier than others. I do check my SDB every other month.
