It's A Beauty!!! A 1974 Cent struck on a Dime Planchet. Graded by NGC as a Mint Error and a MS-66 to boot. I must mention that I did not buy this coin but it was given to me as a gift by another member. I received it a couple of weeks ago and I can't thank the sender enough for it. It was so very nice to receive it. I'll not say who, so please don't ask. This is truly a gift and it holds special meaning that another member would do this. I saved it for my 20,000 Likes Celebration. I needed 13 more when I went to bed last night and when I got to my phone a few minutes ago I discovered that I had over 20,000 likes and I have 51 messages to catch up on. Thanks to all the members that have made today a very special day and something to celebrate. It's into the second week of November and it's currently 65 on its way to a forecasted 76 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky. Nothing but blue with an exceptional fall weather. Hope you enjoy this coin as much as I do. Remember, a Dime planchet fits into the coining chamber of a Cent but a Cent planchet will not fit into the Dimes coining chamber. Once again, thank you all for making today special and special thanks to my friend that send this to me.
Nice! Thanks for sharing that beauty. Congrats on 20,000 likes. You are almost catching up to my 38,708+
That is a seriously nice gift, good on whoever sent it to you and congratulations! I think it could use a reholder though
When I first saw the picture, my first thought was, "Oh no! Take it down before the mint confiscates it!" Then I realized it wasn't a 1974 aluminum cent after all
If it was a 1974 aluminum Cent and it was genuine it would be tucked away and no one would know that I have it!
