I crave the assistance of experts again. The same chap who has already brought me his Roman and Ptolomeic collections has now left me with his Sasanian coins to identify and possibly buy. There are 11 in all - I am going to do it in 2 threads otherwise it will get too confusing. (I was mildly chastised before for using one thread per coin!) As well as an ID I would appreciate some idea of value so I can make him a fair offer for the lot. If any are fake or repro, that is fine, so long as you let me know! This is the second batch - these are smaller - 20 to 25mm across: Eight: Nine: Ten: Eleven: Thanks again!
#8 is Parthian, Artabanos II (old references) or Artabanos IV Assar) (c.10-38 AD), Sellwood 63.6. #9 and #11 are from Tabaristan, 9 is from the Abbasid governors while 11 is from the independent Dabuyids, I would figure out more complete ID but I don't have time right now. Hope this helps.
More info: #9 is from the Abbasid governor Hani (788-790 AD). #11 is from Khurshid (740-761 AD). #10 is Sasanian, Yazdegard I (399-420 AD). For value information, I would suggest going to Vcoins.com and searching for similar items using the appropriate search terms. Keep in mind that prices on Vcoins tend to be full retail, and remember to adjust for condition. I don't see anything to think that these coins are fake, so feel free to make an offer.
