The neatest thing about coins is that, by the time you hold an old coin in your hand, thousands if not millions of people have touched it before you (unless it's proof I guess). And the date is on the coin.

This post (#48) is the entry post for Namvet69 on Collectors Universe.

(I notice he also posted an entry in Post #44, above, under his CoinTalk ID. As mentioned in the introduction, this is perfectly OK. If you have membership on both CoinTalk and Collectors Universe, you may post one entry post on each site. One entry per member per site, for a maximum of two chances in the drawing.)

Still can't get over how pretty the reverse is and the whole Canadian penny in general is that a friend gave me when he was searching through his jug for wheatbacks. IMG_20201019_061046.jpg IMG_20201019_061122.jpg

Haven’t done much with my coins lately but I did find a $10 with the serial number of 06066606. Not a true binary but it’s the closest I’ve ever come to one. And sorry I don’t have a picture of it but my camera is pretty much inoperative.

This is the first Large Cent I purchased from Tom Deck over at LargeCents.net. Great guy. I've conversed with him many times on other coins and advice. I highly recommend him to anyone that is a Sheldon varieties lover of the Large Cents.

My most recent purchase. Justin II with Sophia, Æ Half Follis Dated RY 8 (572/3). ςII. I liked it because of the odd date (and because it was inexpensive). I did not realize there was a Roman numeral for 6 (other than VI), making this ANNO (year) eight of Justin II's reign.
