The cost of grading would far exceed the worth and value of the coins involved.......enjoy them (coins) in their original state. :)

@green18 is absolutely correct. You have a lovely collection underway there. All kinds of history lives in those coins. However they are average collectible coins. Your submission fees would far exceed the intrinsic value of your coins.

Edit.... It does appear your war era nickels may display some lamination issues. This is quite common for war era nickels.

Submitting a coin, even to ANACS, is not cheap.
Figure each costs at least in the $50-75 range.
I don't believe what you have would reach that level.

They are best left alone in my opinion. Good luck.

ANACS has a November special 12 coins for $119 plus free return postage!

    ANACS Fall Frenzy is HERE!!!

Send us 12 of your classic beauties, and we’ll authenticate, grade and encapsulate them for just $119 (TOTAL and INCLUDES FREE RETURN SHIPPING).

I wouldn't use that offer for those coins.

Nice specimens, but there are only 2 reasons you should have them graded:

    1) You have cash, & your only option is to either flush it down the toilet, or have them graded: have them graded.

    2) Grading is absolutely free, as in free, free, free, free...

Certainly there are reasons to have certain coins graded, but, as noted by contributors above, yours really don't qualify (as in: they're fairly low value). However, you may certainly encapsulate them yourself, for display +/or protection; there are many sources for capsules (I have even bought a few @ Hobby Lobby).

I agree with @GoldBug999; while the ANACS November offer is a good deal, you would still be underwater on those coins.

    Btw, welcome aboard!;)

Your '60 Mint set is good looking & I really like the nickel! ;)

I don’t mean to derail the thread and apologize..... I have a Hobby Lobby just a stones throw from my office. They have coin collecting supplies there?
