Closest I've got to a "full steps" Jefferson. Full steps, or not?

I'm not sure about the left side of the steps. Paul aka @Lehigh96 would be the best person to ask.

 

What year is that? Please show photo of obverse.

 

I left it at work. I believe it is dated 1942.

Heck. The best I can do is the Two Step right about now .

Yeah, it's in my desk at the office. I didn't think to take a photo of the obverse because the steps are on the reverse.

Why the two mintmarks?

 

Wait a minute, are there front steps too ?

 

Yeah, that is a Daniel Carr Restrike, and it is probably like MS69 6FS. I thought it was fake, which is why I asked for the year. Now that I know it is 1942, I know that it is the Moonlight Mint's triple mintmark 1942-D. There is a mintmark on the obverse below the date, and two on the reverse, one above the dome and the other to the right of Monticello.'

Nice try though!

 

I did find a photo from the seller.

Isn't a Novelty now that its been transformed ?

 

I don't think it's been 'transformed'. DC mints his own design 'fantasy' coins of which i think this is one.

I know lots of folks love his stuff, and think of it as 'art', but IMO... ummmmm, no

 

Looks like a replica coin. Too perfect a coin, its like a flawless matte proof.

I'm hoping the next one Dan does is a PDS triple mint mark. P over the dome, D adjacent Montecello, and S on the obverse . . . .
