I'm wondering about a few Penny's I have that have like a clear line through theme. most off them seem really thin they have big chunks took out of theme. they have some hole's on some of theme just wondering if this is a error or I'm going crazy about these Penny's I've notice. I have them from the 70 to the 90 a lot wondering if I could get some help with out trying to show a picture.

Gonna be a good day Tater...I can't really tell anything from your photos, but I will just offer this.... Copper is a very, very soft metal. It is quite easy for anomalies to occur from routine circulation. Just keep that in mind as you pursue your love of Lincoln cents.

These photos are useless. They are blurry, and too small.

Hard to see anything but the first coin looks heavily damaged. Like Randy said, coins get the crap beat out of them, especially pennies which are soft and get no respect.

For photos, try putting the coin on a tabletop, then put your cell phone over it on a soda can. Then crop the photo so only the coin shows. Welcome to the forum.

Don't feel bad, but it's hard for anyone to comment on something they can't see.

As for your pennies, those newer than 1960 aren't worth much unless they are in pristine condition or a genuine error. If you are going to look for errors, learn to tell the difference between a real error and plain old damage. Here is a good place to start.

Please use some type of punctuation. Your run-on posts are difficult to read and understand. Not trying to be the grammar police or anything, I make my share of typos, but you need something to make it easier to follow.

Remember, people are using their time and knowledge to answer your questions. If you make it hard for them to figure out what you want, they'll just skip over it. You can make it much easier if you post good pics, with a clear, concise question. If it's easy to figure out what you want to know, you'll get answers.

    Just a suggestion.

You should always post in focus FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and is easily enlarged by clicking on it). Photograph coins on neutral backgrounds like black, grey, or white. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows, and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. While it isn’t always necessary, it is nice to show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.
