More like 'free money' day. Coin places were offering 3x cost right off the bat, and you know they'll resell them for even more, so how can you go wrong?
Experience and history of past products. Very few things in the history of the mint have sold out in a couple minutes. A couple hours is still a very very popular product
If all you're doing is scalping then I think you deserve all the frustration the mint can deliver! Ya'll deserve each other.
Just received confirmation email. Personally, no plans to flip/sell. Wanted ASE to compliment my West Point quarters with V75 privy.
It took me 27 mins but i got the email conferming my order, but by the time i logged in again at 1030 it was sold out
This post, along with SEVERAL others about the mint, made my day. I no longer buy from the Mint so don't have to suffer like some of you. LOL
Nope, don't scalp them at all; but it's easier paying above melt knowing that you'll never lose money on them (unless the world ends)
Well, you were talking about "expectations." I for one certainly expected even the ASE coins to sell out as fast as their miserable joke of a website could handle. I know some people who logged in at noon and finally were able to check out by around 1 PM. About a half hour later . . . and the coins were all gone. Consumer demand did not drive the amount of time it took for a sellout - their miserable website did. If they had a competently designed and TESTED system, I feel confident that they would have sold out within a very few minutes at most.
The site almost certainly slowed those down. Even if the sale was held by Walmart or Amazon with their capacity I still would have expected the ASE to take 30-45 minutes for a sell out if not a little longer with the gold taking like 20 seconds
Just got my confirmation. I am in a sneaker cook group, which is a group on Discord were we buy sell and trade shoes and other stuff. A popular person on twitter told all the sneakerheads about this. Wish they didn't find out. Surprised they didn't bot the hell out of last years reverse proof. Most of them told me they never collected coins and were skeptical of resale of last years and this years.
I got shut out last year. Received my confirmation a few hours ago for this one. Got lucky this time around.
Plus coin dealers were advertising as well. A local one was offering $283 for sealed boxes on facebook.
