I recently bought an MS70 1946-D dime and I was wondering how much it is worth. I bought it for $4.42 on ebay with $1.83 shipping. Here is the link - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39459&item=3969250598
Unfortunately, you didn't my friend. You bought an SGS "MS70", most but not all which are really MS60 or better. Very occasionally they will actually be MS63-64. IMHO the weak strike on your new acquisition (for example look at the "I" in "IN GOD") keeps it from going over MS62 from any reputable TPG. But at least you do have more than 50¢ worth of silver at current bullion prices.
When I look at the actual coin, the "I" looks perfect, I think there is just a shine of light over it in the picture.
I think Roy is right...it is not a MS70...the best thing to do is to take this as a cheap leason learned and stay away from SGS and any other off brand Grading Co...if you go with the top 4 you should do fine.. NGC ANACS PCGS ICG Speedy
