I have a 1983 that I got in my change today not a bad looking quarter but the date is doubling it's like the numbers are way apart plus their are doubling in some of the words in liberty maybe all can't see it too good with this 5x I have plus their looks like doubling on the back as well it looks like this hole quarter is turned around if that makes any since plus this thing ha's more cracks in it a very nice fine some off these things you just got to see it for you're self can I get some help on this 1983d quarter
Could you please post large, clear, photos of both sides of the coin with clear closeups of the areas in question. Thank you. The pics you posted are too small for me to see any doubling. When I enlarge the photo, the details are a little blurry.
I got my daughter to take this for me she has a better phone than I do I think it's a pretty wild quarter for real to be in pocket change their is a lot of cracks on the front and back that you can't see on the picture but their are cracks on each side of the wings more in the front around the letters off liberty it ha's a lot of errors for real plus I don't know what any body thanks but the date looks like it ha's different numbers than the date it's like I see a 5 in it plus it looks like ghost looking things in it that is a lot of things one off my better finds in awhile I have a nickel that nobody ha's told me nothing about it maybe I will put it own their tomorrow
that is the best I can do with what I got to work with it is a coin you just got to see with you're own eye's no what I mean
Thanks for the better photos. Sorry, but IMHO your coin is not a Doubled Die. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST looks flattened (smooshed) due to circulation wear. There are NO listings for a 1983 D Washington Quarter at Variety Vista or Wexler's Doubled Die website. You can check for them yourself by clicking on their sites: http://www.varietyvista.com/ https://doubleddie.com/ Perhaps you could point out the cracks you see along with the 5 as I'm not seeing them. Thank you. If you want to learn about die cracks you should check out this site:http://www.error-ref.com/?s=die+cracks
In addition to the above, I'd like to point out that the numbers of the date are not way apart. The spacing is normal as you'll see if you compare it to this coin:
I looked at your previous posts and couldn't find any photos of the nickel you're talking about. I noticed you talked about it (with no photos) on another member's thread. You need to start a new post, including clear photos, if you want comments on it. Edit. Stick with your daughters phone as it takes very good photos. (If she'll let you use it. lol).
That's a Edzel not a Bentley.. The letters have years of circulation mushiness. Why do all of your threads state Bentley 1974 in the title?
@tatter tott, you want comments but you need to stop posting small, blurry, and horrendous photos... not only that but you need to stop naming your threads the same thing... it makes it hard for us to see if it's a new post or an old one... Best Regards, Dark
