Yeah, I don't know what it ever did to the person who got hold of it. It was way underweight, too, if I remember correctly. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

A brutalized Barber 1905-S half. Why did I bother to photograph this coin? Oh, It's because I bought it when I about 14 years old.

She isn't purty but she is an 1865 I found in the reject slot at my credit union a couple of years ago. Oldest American coin machine find.

If money could talk, this one would have quite a story. If ever for sale, I'm very interested and would like a shot.

I sold it some time ago, for more than half the price of a low-grade unimpaired example. I had it up on eBay as a BIN/BO, and along came someone who was building a set of holed proof Trade Dollars.

    Sorry I missed that one. I still want the 1878, 79, 81, and 82.

Are you specifically looking for holed examples, or just not put off by holed examples for these? I don't expect to find another in my lifetime, but they clearly do exist...

Holed preferred, plugged okay if rare. I collect all US coins by date & mintmark, holed. I still need quite a few. Gold mostly by type these days.
