What's with the price if the 2008 W Proof Silver Eagle. With the mintage at (712,000) it is slightly less than 2007, but the price is quite a bit higher than the 2007.
High silver prices in the middle of 2008 forced the mint to purchase bullions at a higher price than what they did in 2007 and that got passed down to the customers.
For the 2008W UNC, the mint charged $25.95, for the proof they charged $37.95. That last price I am not sure but it is +/- $1 within limits.
