Hey . So, I inherited this Note but being a coin guy know very little about besides it being in about VF condition or better . No holes, tears, smears etc. The only thing I noticed is that it lacks crispness and has a slight wave to it . Other than that I noticed the Margins on the back being off .
Info. and value would be truly appreciated . Thanks in advance . 1934A North Africa Note-front.jpg 1934A North Africa-Back.jpg

    $20-$60 circulated. $200 uncirculated.
    I imagine yours is $50-$60.

In my opinion, I'd value your note at anywhere from $35 to $50 ungraded. I'd also highly recommend finding a mylar currency sleeve.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but if you have a scanner, I'd highly recommend it. A scanner is an excellent way to image your paper money without removing it from the holder and dealing with glare. Here is one of my notes that I scanned earlier this year.

The issues are more far reaching then just over all condition (Silver Certificate)
The margins are pretty bad on the back dont forget that counts to.

Me personally, look for graded currency, only buying raw when it is super cheap and I can trust my own judgement, so that being said, I think your note would warrant getting it graded as I believe it would increase the value. If you just want it in your collection as an inherited note, then raw in a sleeve is good.

You need to keep in mind, that third party grading isn't free ! since you paid nothing for the note I would just keep in a mylar holder, probably the best reason to get a
note graded is to enhance or improve value, though I dont have the note in hand
I would say no better then VF-30, wrinkling on back boarder and dark markings
on the high right margin would greatly affect the grade, so what does in cost to grade a note you may ask ? here's a breakdown, first secured shipping to get it there and returned, usually express mail, though there maybe cheaper options
will call in $15 each way, so shipping $30 total, then there's the grading fee basic
no rush grading, economy pre 1960 is $35, then if you dont have a PMG
membership you have to buy one of those to ! or find someone that already has
a membership and can submit it for you, so right off the bat $65 so your already
in the hole before you get started, if I think it would make to XF grade or if it was
a "Tweener" maybe, but you are solid VF and everybody knows it so the price
would not increase by grading, maybe lowering the value with unwanted comments,
    Just my two cents...LOL

Yea. It's been in a holder for 20+ years, so I think it will continue to sit there . Thanks for all your help. :)

Nice looking note. Consider tracking down the five dollar and a $20 note to go with it as a short set.

Oops. Might have sent you on a fools errand. I meant the $1 and the $5. I don't think they made a $20.
