The coin was issued by Vespasian and features Titus as caesar. The Vespasian of this type shows up in both left and right facing versions. The right facing one is not rare. This coin RIC 950 [VESP] uses the prow on the reverse. It is a reference to earlier uses of the prow on previous coins including Roman republican types and some imperatorial issues (Marc Antony) as well. The first photo shows the coin I bought 4 years ago on Vcoins. The second photo depicts the upgrade that I just bought. The first coin is already sold to a CT member. Good to keep it in the family so to speak. I love this coin both as a type and for the amazing portrait on the obverse. Please post your coins with great portraits or any Flavians you may have.
