I'm a new collector and unfamiliar with paper currency, I have an uncirculated $1 bill with serial number 88884764. Is there and value or premium for this serial number?
The same numbers that are on the ends are smack in the middle. I wonder what the odds of that are in an 8-digit number?
When I first saw this, I noticed the indentations on the left side corners making me think it might have once spent some time in a BEP folder. Because of how these are held in in the folders, some notes develop little indentations that look like corner folds. These sell on eBay between $5-$15 and sometimes more if the serial number is fancy. This one recently sold on eBay for $18, but it comes with the BEP folder.
Even though there are 4-digits in a row with the same number, not special enough to get any type of a premium.
Other than what Steve already wrote, it is only a collectors choice as a Chinese Lucky Number note and without the cover, not worth much above face value in my opinion.
